What kind of computer and software do I need to run TAM?
TAM is a cloud-based system so all you need is a computing device with a browser and an internet connection. TAM runs on PCs, Macs, tablets (such as an iPad), and smart phones. TAM runs on all major browsers: Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Opera. However, if you have a choice of browsers we recommend Chrome. We have found that Chrome is typically more robust and faster than other browsers. All of our software developers use Chrome in creating and debugging TAM. We also caution anyone using Internet Explorer to upgrade to either IE 11 or Edge (which is the browser for Windows 10). TAM will run on IE 8, IE 9, and IE 10 but there are a few minor features that don't work well. We do not support IE versions older than IE 8.
As of January 12, 2016 Microsoft will no longer be supporting Internet Explorer 10 and older versions. We recommend that you upgrade to at least IE 11 to continue to receive security updates and technical support from Microsoft. TAM will still work with IE 8, 9 and 10 but you are vulnerable to malware while using those versions. TAM support will not have access to those versions of IE.
