Multiple language support

First, TAM supports the use of Google Translate on all external web pages (pages where applicants can view and apply to jobs).  Google Translate is a "quick and dirty" method to translate these pages to more than 50 languages, which can make the application process easier for applicants who are not fluent in English.

To enable Google Translator for all your job postings on TAM, from the top menu, select Jobs Page.  Then enable or disable the Translator and hit Save. The Google Translate selector will then appear on any TAM page an applicant has access to, including the Careers and Jobs pages. Be aware that if you use this feature applicants may enter their information and responses to pre-screening questions in their selected language, which may make it harder for you and your other TAM users to interpret.

Second, TAM also supports a method of including dual languages on the external web pages. With this method TAM will display information in English as well as a second language on the external TAM pages. In addition you can write your pre-screening questions in two languages and the applicant will be able to read the question in both languages. Currently TAM supports English/French, French/English, English/Spanish, and Spanish/English. Here's an example of a pre-screening page in French:

And an example in Spanish:

When this method is enabled all of the TAM-generated content on your Careers and Jobs pages will be displayed in the primary language, followed by the secondary language. You would then need to write all of your content in this fashion. For example, when creating/editing the pre-screening forms, information questions in English/French would be:

Likewise you may want to write your job postings in the primary language, followed by the secondary language.

If you are interested in using this dual-language method contact TAM support. We will setup your configuration and walk you through how to use it.

For Employment Applications, we will present the application to the applicant in Spanish whenever the title of the application includes "Spanish" or "Español". If an applicant goes to your Careers page to submit an application, they will be allowed to select from a list of your available applications, and they can then select the Spanish application. However, if you require an employment application when applicants apply for a position, they will only be allowed to complete the employment application you specify for that position.

Remember, with any of these methods you are inviting the applicant to enter information in their native language, so you need to be able to read that language in any information you capture from the applicant.

The internal pages of TAM will always be in English.  We have no plans at this time to support other languages.
