Evergreen positions/Re-posting on Free Job Boards

Sometimes there is a need to repost a position to the job boards on a periodic basis due to the position being open for a long period of time.  This could be because it's an evergreen position or simply a hard to fill position.  An administrator can turn this feature on by going to Setup -> Other Company Settings, Miscellaneous Options, checking the box next to 'Turn on the Repost feature' and clicking Save.

An evergreen position is one that is open for a long period of time due to a high number of openings or high turnover.  In these cases, you would enter a number greater than one as the Number of Openings when you are creating the position and each time you fill the position the number of openings is reduced by one and the position stays open.

In both these situations you may find the need to repost to the free job boards with which TAM is integrated; Indeed, Simply Hired, Glassdoor, Jobs.com, JuJu, MyJobHelper, Jooble, JobRapido, upward.net, and ZipRecruiter.  Since the free job boards track positions by the position number you must create a new position in order for it to post again.

TAM offers an automated feature to make this easier. Re-posting will be triggered every 90 days from the initial posting of the position. This 90 day limit is imposed on us by the job boards. When the re-post date is hit, the position is closed, a new position is copied from the old, all applicants are moved to the new position with their status unchanged, and the new position is opened and posted.  The new position will post to the free board as any other new position would.

Once this feature is turned on you can decide on a position-by-position basis whether to turn on the repost.

Only positions currently open will be reposted. Once you place a position On Hold or in Draft mode, reposts are turned off until the position is reopened.

Subscribers are not notified when a position has been reposted.  However, the original position URL they received in their position notification email will still work even after a position has been reposted.
