Posting to Careers 2.0 (Stack Overflow)

To setup TAM to push your positions to Careers 2.0, you must first obtain an "API code" from your Stack Overflow account rep (or from careers@stackoverflow.com).  This is separate from your account number.  Once you obtain this code send it to support@theapplicantmanager.com.  We will then configure your TAM account and we'll notify you when it's ready.

In TAM go to Setup, Job Boards.  You will see that the Careers 2.0 account is enabled, so click on "Ask me every time I open a new position whether or not to post it to Careers 2.0" to enable posting.  Hit Save at the bottom of the page.

You will now have the option every time you create a new position to have TAM automatically post it to Careers 2.0.  At the bottom of the Create Position page simply click on "Post this position to Careers 2.0" and fill in the required information.

When you Open & Post this position it will be sent to Careers 2.0 immediately. Note: if you already have a position open and then turn on the Careers 2.0 posting, it will not be posted.  In this case, after checking the Careers 2.0 box, save the position, place it On Hold, then immediately click Open & Post to Careers.  This action will trigger the transmission to Stack Overflow.

You will receive an email from TAM within a few minutes as to whether the posting was accepted by Stack Overflow. The position will be posted for 30 days or until you fill/close the position in TAM. You may put this position on hold and then reopen it any time during those 30 days without incurring additional charges. If you open this position after the 30 day period Stack Overflow will charge you for an additional posting.

You must have credits available with Stack Overflow prior to posting.  If you have insufficient credits to post the position then the posting will be rejected, and you will be notified by email.
