Source Summary Report
The Source Summary Report tells you where you applicants are coming from as well as how far applicants from each source are advancing in your recruiting process.
For information on how TAM tracks applicant sources click here.
To access reports go to Admin -> Reports. Reports are typically only available to administrator and recruiter users, but admins can grant/remove access from any user group.
Select Source Summary as the report type.
Select the position(s) to report on. You can select all positions, all open positions, all closed positions, or an individual position. The "Positions containing keyword" field can be used to select multiple positions. For example, "Sales" would select all positions with "Sales" in the title.
Select the location(s) and department(s).
Select the date range. The report will include all applicants who applied during that date range.
You can run the report based on the source that the applicant entered or on the "referral url", which is the url of the web site the applicant was on before being directed to the TAM job page.
Click Run Report.
The graphical report will show the workflow steps for the selected position(s) on the y-axis with the number of applicants by each source on the x-axis. By hovering your mouse over any segment of the graph a tooltip will display the number of applicants that reached that workflow step. The "funnel" affect display allows you to track how many applicants come from each source and how far they reach in your workflow. This can help you decide which paid job boards are most effective and where to spend your recruiting budget for posting.
Note: the totals displayed under each workflow step are cumulative, therefore showing all applicants who reached that step in the workflow. It does not display the total number of applicants currently at that step.
Note2: the total number of applicants in the Source Summary report will be different than those found in other reports, such as the Metrics report. This is because the Source Summary shows applicants who applied during the selected date range. If, for example, you run a report for the month of May, it will only show applicants who applied during May. An applicant who applied in April and reached a workflow step in May will not show on this report. To get accurate counts of applicants in each workflow step we recommend the Metrics Report.
The raw data is also displayed in a table format. This data can then be printed or exported to Excel for further data manipulation and graphical reports.
The table will first list those sources specified as your master company list (under Setup -> Messages), in alphabetical order, followed by any applicant-entered sources.
* (You may see instances where there is a number in the Total Applicants column, but no numbers under any workflow step. This will happen if a workflow step was used in the past but is no longer being used.)
You can also save and load your reports. You can load any report saved by yourself or any other user. If you make changes remember to hit Save to save those changes. If you try to save a report you loaded from another user it will not change their report, but instead will save a new report under your name. To create a new report just enter the name in the Save As box and then hit Save.
