Incomplete Applicants
TAM was designed to follow the Internet Applicant rule and to follow recruiting best practices as much as possible. One of these practices is to ensure that all applicants are treated equally. As part of this practice TAM considers an applicant as "Incomplete" until they have finished all aspects of your application process. Here is how TAM handles applicants through each step.
1) Pre-screening Form. An applicant's data is not entered into TAM until they complete this page, including any pre-screening questions which you mark as required. Once they complete this page they are considered a "Complete" applicant unless you are using an online Employment Application.
2) If you have configured TAM such that every applicant must complete the online Employment Application, they will be directed to that step after they complete the pre-screening form. Any applicant who completes the pre-screening form but does not complete the Employment Application is marked as "Incomplete". They will not show up in your active applicants list, but you can find them with a search (see below).
3) If you are collecting EEO data, that is not considered a required step for an applicant. EEO data is completely optional on the applicant's part. Applicants will be considered "Complete" whether or not they finish this step.
4) If you are using any Personality/Assessment tools which TAM supports, these are not considered required steps for an applicant. Applicants will be considered "Complete" whether or not they finish this step.
There are two ways to find an "Incomplete" applicant. The first is by using the Name search. This will find any applicants in TAM, incomplete or not.
The second method is to go to Talent Pool, Search, and click on Incomplete Applicants. Then check the box "Search only incomplete applicants". You may also change the Date range if desired. Then click on Run Search.
All Incomplete Applicants will be displayed in the table with the reasons they are incomplete listed under the Status column.
An applicant will be noted as Incomplete on their page. If a user has the permission to change an applicant's status then they can remove the Incomplete status simply by changing the applicant's status.
