TAM's tightly-coupled integration with Predictive Index allows you to request applicant assessments from TAM and to review the results on each applicant's page in TAM.

You must first have an account created with Predictive Index. All billing for this service is handled through Predictive Index; TAM only transmits data to/from PI. There is an implementation fee for TAM to create your interface to PI.

TAM requires an API Key to interface with your Predictive Index account. To find your API Key log in to your Predictive Index account, go to the Administrative tab under your name, select User Management, then click on the user you wish to be associated with your TAM account. Scroll down and look for api-key. If that value exists copy-and-paste it here. If it does not exist, simply click on the Create button. You should then provide this key to the TAM Support contact.

Section 1 – Account Setup (One Time Only)

To begin your account setup for Predictive Index go to Setup -> Integrations and click on the "Configuration" button.

You will then need to fill in your company information.

  1. Enter your API key from your Predictive Index account here. To find your API Key log in to your Predictive Index account, go to the Administrative tab under your name, select User Management, then click on the user you wish to be associated with your TAM account. Scroll down and look for api-key. If that value exists copy-and-paste it here. If it does not exist, simply click on the Create button.
  2. You can choose behavioral assessments, cognitive assessments, or both. Remember that cognitive assessments are a 12 minute timed test. If you require all applicants to complete this assessment you will probably lose some percentage of applicants.
  3. You will always have the option to initiate an assessment manually from each applicant's page. These options allow you to require applicants to complete an assessment when they initially apply for a position. You may require applicants for all positions to complete assessments, or require assessments for only some selected positions. If you select the third option you must then enable assessments on a position-by-position basis when Creating or Editing a position.
  4. Once an applicant completes an assessment they will be taken to a TAM landing page. You may enter any message you like here.
  5. Assessments can be made to expire after any number of days.
  6. Always make sure to click Save after any changes.

Section 2 – Initiating Assessments Manually

To initiate an assessment simply click on the PI icon on the applicant's page.

You will then be directed to the TAM Mail page with a pre-loaded email template. Under the email templates there is TAM: Predictive Index Assessment request. This template will always be loaded unless you create one of your own. To do that go to Admin -> Send Email. Click on Create/Edit a Template. Load TAM: Predictive Index Assessment request. Make any changes to the body of the email template, then click Save. Do not change the name of the template before saving. You will then have an email template under your name labeled "Predictive Index Assessment request". TAM will automatically load your template when requesting an assessment.

Once the email is as you like it just click Send. The applicant will be sent instructions for completing the assessment(s) by email. You will receive an email once the applicant finishes. You can then go to the applicant's page in TAM where the PDF files of the completed assessments can be found under the Assessments tab.

Section 3 – Including Assessments in the Application Flow

In your Predictive Index configuration, if you choose option 2 or 3 below:

1) NO applicants will be asked to do an assessment when applying, we'll send assessments requests later in our workflow.

2) All applicants will be required to do an assessment when applying.

3) All applicants for some positions will be required to do an assessment when applying.

then applicants will be asked to complete their assessment(s) after their prescreening form, employment application and EEO data (if you use these options). PDF versions of their completed assessments will then be appended to their applicant record shortly after they apply.
