Onboarding Overview
Onboarding, also known as organizational socialization, refers to the mechanism through which new employees acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviors to become effective organizational members and insiders.
If you ask 10 human resources professionals their definition on onboarding you're likely to get 10 (or more) responses. Onboarding can encompass many different areas and processes, some of which are based on regulatory needs, type of employees being hired, company culture, etc.
As TAM is an Applicant Tracking System we normally do not deal with any employee data or processes. But there is a need sometimes to move applicant data into the employee space and to ease the transition between applicant and employee. TAM therefore addresses one aspect of the Onboarding process, that of completing the necessary forms and documents needed before an applicant becomes an employee. This may be only a small part of the overall Onboarding process.
As part of our Onboarding package the TAM support staff will convert your required forms into a fillable pdf format. Some fields in the form can be pre-filled by TAM, some will be filled by a TAM user prior to sending to an applicant, and some will be filled by the applicant. Forms will then be routed to any email addresses you specify, in the order you specify, for completion and signatures. Once complete the forms will be attached to the applicant's record, and each form will include an audit trail of who accessed the form and when, as well as who signed the form and when.
We provide common federal and state forms as part of our Onboarding package, such as I-9, W-4, etc. We can also convert most of your custom forms.
