OFCCP Update - March 2014
In August 2013, the OFCCP announced changes to the regulations implementing section 503 of the Rehabilitation ACT of 1973. In short, federal contractors will be required to implement the unaltered Section 503 Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability form by the start of their next AAP (Affirmative Action Plan) cycle following March 24, 2014. In addition the current VETS100 and VETS100a invitations will be combined into a single new invitation. For reporting reasons, it is assumed that most Contractors will begin using the new data collection at the start of their new Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) year.
TAM has addressed these changes. If you are a federal contractor, our recommendation is that you begin collecting Disability data immediately. If you have been collecting VETS100/100A data we recommend that you continue until the end of your AAP cycle, at which time you can switch to the new VETS invitation. If you have not been collected VETS data you can turn it on the new invitation immediately.
To enable either of these options go to Setup, EEO/Disability/Vets. Then simply check the boxes. All data will be collected from applicants immediately after they complete the pre-screening form, or after the application for employment if you are requiring it. To see an example of the applicant's page, see "Example of EEO/Disability/Vets applicant page".
